Favorite Roulette Games

I would love to hear what everyone considers their top tips and favorite games at roulette.
So far, after a long study of random numbers, my top tip is to watch the wheel board for at least 10-15 spins before playing. There will often (but not always) be a favorite number+neighbors, or a hot street, or a doubling wheel--something happening...go with the wheel, and be ready to change when IT does.

I have different little games I play, depending on how much cash is available.
Most are fairly solid--but I would love to hear from other players about their own experiences!

I'm going to give you a secret roulette system that really works. It will cut the house advantage to literally nothing, if you believe in it enough to never get frustrated and switch tactics. What I'm going to say may seem strange, but here goes.

First, never bet simply red or black. Also don't bet odd or even. These are equally poor, consistently losing wagers.

Second, don't be suckered into betting zero or double zero, despite what some experts may suggest. This may seem like you're betting with the house, but for technical reasons you are actually betting against the house -- and you are taking the worst of it.

So, in order to negate the house advantage, you MUST stick to straight non-green number bets. All odd red numbers turn out to be bad choices, based on over two trillion computer trials. Don't bet them.

All even black numbers fair poorly, and cannot be bet, for much the same reason, which I won't explain here.

Let's get straight to the money-saving advice. Any bet you decide to make MUST cover only even-red or odd-black numbers. There are no exceptions.

Finally, you need to be very disciplined in excluding the number 30 and the group of consecutive numbers that begins with 11 and continues clockwise through and including 14.

This system may seem mystical, but I take gambling quite seriously, and this works for me.

So, let's look at my system. In saying that my system could cut the house edge to literally zero, I chose the word "literally" quite carefully. It means that "zero" is to be taken precisely to mean "zero." If you follow the instructions exactly, all bets are eliminated. You can sit and watch the wheel spin forever, but you will never make a bet -- unless you violate the instructions.

If you like to play roulette for fun, great. But you should recognize that past results have no effect at all on future outcomes, and so you can't overcome the odds against you by tracking past spins. Even if there were ten reds in a row, the next spin is still 18/38 likely to be red and 18/38 likely to be black.

Yes, this is tru. I think it's also true that mathematically speaking roulette CANNOT be beaten. You're getting 35:1 on a win, and the house is 36:1 favorite every time (on a single number). 37:1 if you play American wheels--anathema! lol
Nevertheless, I would like to hear from people who actually play...I know there's at least one or two out there! lol
Let's say you've got a wheel that's doubling a lot one evening...taking ONE chip, you hit and win 35. In one all-back bet, you win about 1,000. NOt a bad return on one chip [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

If you like to play roulette for fun, great. But you should recognize that past results have no effect at all on future outcomes, and so you can't overcome the odds against you by tracking past spins. Even if there were ten reds in a row, the next spin is still 18/38 likely to be red and 18/38 likely to be black.

Past outcomes can be indicative of a defective wheel, though, in which case future outcomes will show a similar pattern.

Obviously it takes more than an hour of staring at the wheel to determine that, though.

You might find a biased roulette wheel in a run-down third-world casino, but you won't find one in any American casino.
