Default Chips Help?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good poker chip set (500) that wont cost me over $300?

I ordered a set from Ebay and got the suited chips with metal inserts and they are crap.

I'm looking to buy something better that wont break my bank. I looked at the reviews online, but was hoping to get some first hand info from people. Any help will be appreciated.

Here you go

I have 700 of the #1006, real clay, $0.45-0.55 each.

No regrets

1) Get the clay spotted chips from pokerchips.com (.50 each)

2) Do you really need 500? Consider getting 300 totally custom chips then just add some super cheap chips for tourneys.

If you like the look of the Nevada Jacks composites- either the skull design or the Desert Sands- you can probably find a 500 set for under $300 if you look around. Nice chips, if you want something other than traditional clay, and wish to come in under the chipco price tag.

For $325 (.65 cents each) you could get hot stamped chips with edge spots at pokerchips.com. They take a long time, but worth it.
