Party 1/2 Preflop Questions
I've been reading lot of similar posts, but most of them are geared more towards 5/10 where raises are apparently more effective. Assume the room is a typical Party 1/2 with the biggest pot size. No matter who is raising, there are usually 4 players seeing the flop. Both blinds are usually in and rarely raise unless it's a AA-JJ or AK. There is no buying the button, getting it heads up, or blind stealing. You will be called down with just about anything by two players except as noted. Thanks!
Call, Raise or Fold? 1. Everyone limps to SB with Q7s 2. 4 limp to SB with KTo 3. 1 limp to the SB with A5o 4. UTG limps to UTG+1 with A5s (it's 50% that someone will raise behind) 5. Folded to SB with J6o 6. UTG limps to SB with QTo 7. UTG folds to UTG+1 with ATo 8. UTG limps, UTG+1 raises to CO with 77 9. Folded to Button with QJo (both blinds will call) 10. Button bet to SB with K9s (BB will call even if you raise) 11. UTG with KJo 12. UTG limps to UTG+1 with KJo 13. Folded to CO with KTo (button and blinds will call a bet) 14. 1 limp, Button raises to BB with KTo |

Re: Party 1/2 Preflop Quiz
Thanks for the feedback Fnord. I've been playing them the same way except:
8. UTG limps, UTG+1 raises to CO with 77 I've been calling this with 99-44 when I think there will likely be 4 or 5 to the flop with no 3-bet. I fold if I have to cold call a 3 bet unless I have TT and up. 14. 1 limp, Button raises to BB with KTo This one I've been folding (when there are 1 or more limpers). When it's a button or SB steal I raise. I think I've been too aggressive blind stealing trying to apply 5/10 strategy to the 1/2. Steals with 98s,and T9s etc seem to be too loose if there is no chance the blinds will fold. I seem to lose a lot of bets on these hands trying to represent the flopped King or Ace to the turn and they'll go to show down with a queen high. On the other end, I'm not too sure how loose to be from the BB if it's not a steal raise and there are 3 limpers comming anyways. |

Re: Party 1/2 Preflop Questions
Agree with Fnord on most.
4. UTG limps to UTG+1 with A5s (it's 50% that someone will raise behind)-I would normally fold this. I need a passive table to play a suited Ace this low. 10. Button bet to SB with K9s (BB will call even if you raise)- If this means the button raised, then I fold. 3. 1 limp to the SB with A5o - I can raise here if the limper plays weakly and the BB is tight. |

10. Button bet to SB with K9s (BB will call even if you raise)- If this means the button raised, then I fold. [/ QUOTE ] I thought it was a limp. Against a button raise 3-betting and folding are more attractive than calling unless the BB is really loose. |

These guys don't raise often enough for you to think 77 is the best hand very often... |
