Default I can\'t believe Ed Miller says people fold too much!

OK, so I confess - I've become a bit of an Ed Miller junkie and have been trolling his posts for the last few weeks.

A common theme seems to come up where someone is arguing something along the lines of "you have to fold here - prove to me I'm wrong", and Ed will respond something along the lines "I can't prove it to you - just check it out - most players suck"

I was reflecting on this today when this hand came up and it made me laugh out loud.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero calls, 3 folds, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: (4 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, BB folds, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 8 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 6d Ad (one pair, aces).
MP3 has 3c Kh (one pair, threes).
Outcome: Hero wins 8 BB.

Before the attack, I'd like to add that under MANY game conditions, I would have folded the turn, but in this case, I had MP3 with a VPIP of 68 after 130 hands.

Ed Miller would tell you to bet the turn.

I would too, but I suppose if he's the sort not to let bottom pair go unbet but might fold if bet into, letting him put the money in the pot may not be terrible here.

This to me though does not seem like one of those close situations where you should ever fold. If you'd had second pair or middle pockets then I could see it, or if you were raised on the turn...

Do you think that Ed would have called preflop?

Typical LAP game - without question.

Despite early position, most pots were 5 or 6 way with little raising pre-flop.

Easy turn bet. Why do you think you are behind?

Don't go into checkcall mode like this when you don't have outs. If this is worth calling, it is worth betting.
