I've been wondering how some affiliates are able to offer a 27-30% rake rebate on Empire/Party when the top payment bracket is 25%, but I think I've figured it out. They are receiving their own rake rebates by signing up through someone elses affiliate account as a subaffiliate. The person they sign up through gets 20% for this and kicks back 10%. When you add that amount to the 25% you get from being an upper tier affiliate, you get a 35% payment, and thus can afford to offer a greater than 25% rebate.

if they get 20% of 25% that's an extra 5%. If they give half of that back that's only 2.5%. 25% + 2.5% is not 35%

Incidentally, this also makes me think that there should be an affiliate out there offeirng a 35% rebate. If an affiliate earns 30% and gets a 10% kickback for being a subaffiliate, they'll be receiving 40% total.

In that case, why are no affiliates offering 30% rebates for Empire? |

[/ QUOTE ] From Empire's website affiliates get 20% of what their subaffiliate gets. If the subaffilate gets 25% then the affiliate gets 20% of that 25%. That is 5%. Therefore, the subaffiliate would be getting their initial 25% plus half of the 5% (if the affiliate and subaffiliate split). 25 + 2.5 = 27.5 |
