Default GWB will crack down on internet gaming next year

Watch out for a major push next year. Good issue to apease the Christian Right who put Bush in office. It also protects our "children" and fights terrorists who launder money through Party Poker (as Ashcroft and the DoJ argue).

Are you basing this on any actual information, or just pulling it out of your ass?

Just curious.

Ashcroft is likely headed out the door. No certainty as to who will follow or whether you'll prefer him or her to Big John.

You are absolutely correct. The three big issues that the bush administration needs to address to appease the christian right are abortion, gay marriages and party poker... though not necessarily in that order.

on another note... ive heard the names tom ridge and giuliani thrown around as possible AG replacements.... only time will tell.

Almost anyone would be better than Ashcroft for us people who like to participate in sin and debauchery.

There was an article at the New York Times today that summarized the speculation on the changing cabinet.

Does it make any difference that the online poker companies are being bought up my more legitimate companies on the London stock market. USA companies are lobbying for casinos in the UK and seem to be arguing for less restrictive money laundering laws than the EU wants.

and does Bush need to appease the american right?

I think this was tacked on to the super-secret memo about the upcoming draft.
