Default What would you say the odds of the Eagles going undefeated are?

I would argue 2:1.

Default I\'d say more like 50:1

without figuring it out.

I think it will be a long time, if ever, before we see a team go 19-0 in one season.

Assume that they are, on average, a 70-30 favorite to win each of the remaining 9 games.

70%^9 = about 4%

Let's say that they are 90% favorites to win each of the next 9 games.
90%^9 = ~38%

So, by saying they are 2:1 against, you are saying that they would be, on average, about 85%'ish to win each game. I can't imagine that could be possible.

With out looking at the schedule, I would put the line at somewhere in the 7:1 against or so.

I would say,

going by sossman's idea (and striaght 10's):
60:40 @ steelers
80:20 @ Dallas
90:10 Washington
60:40 @ Giants
70:30 Green Bay
80:20 @ Washington
90:10 Dallas
60:40 @ St. Louis
90:10 Cincinnati

(That's really really rough and optimistic)
So, a little worse than 14:1, in my opinion (not including playoffs).

Why certainly, thank you for asking!

SossMan is right, I figure if you run this Eagles team against their schedule in 1000's of simulated seasons (16 game - no post season) with their schedule, I figure they would average around 14-2. Having 9 games left, I think they're 2:1. More specifically, my belief of win:

@Steelers: 65%
@Cowboys: 90%
Redskins: 95%
@NYG: 90%
GB: 90%
@Redskins: 95%
Cowboys: 95%
@StL: 75%
Cin: 90%

It's somewhere around 28%, which would be like 2.5:1. Of course this doesn't include the potential for major unexpected injuries. However, I feel the team is well-coached, and do not need to account for let-down type losses.

Anyway, I'm getting offered 4:1 and think I may put money towards this, curious to see what others think.

Edit: Forgot away Was game.

I'm a diehard Eagles fan, so I wish I could agree with these estimates.

I would guess it's more like this:

@Steelers: 55%
@Cowboys: 60%
Redskins: 80%
@NYG: 55%
GB: 65%
@Redskins: 70%
Cowboys: 65%
@StL: 60%
Cin: 70%

In the NFL today, you can NEVER, EVER say that a team winning, home or away, is more than a 85% chance.

With the way the NFL fluctuates, that is absurd. Hence the movie "Any Given Sunday."
