Default Can\'t sit at table with friend

I recently upgraded my computer and gave my old one to a friend. Then last night when I went to join a table with him on Party Poker, a message popped up saying I couldn't sit at the table with him because they detected some kind of connection between the two of us.

Does this mean we will never be allowed to sit at the same table again, or would Party be open to an explanation and allow us to sit at the same table in the future?

It's about time. I've seen so many "friends" play soft with each other because they chat with eachother while playing cards. It's cheating clear and simple

Move to one of the sites that is less strict about collusion and softplay there.

Once you log in to Party another computer or someone logs into their Party account on yours your accounts get linked. This isn't new, it's been happening for a while. It looks like giving him your old CPU had that effect.

You can try to email Party to explain, but I don't think that they will reverse it, at least, I don't think they have in the past.

I hope you're not serious, but just in case anyone thinks you are.

I DO NOT CHEAT, NEVER HAVE, NEVER WILL.

I don't play much with my friends, but if I have a friend who is just learning, I may sit down and play at their table with them. Or sometimes for fun a friend and I will jump in a SNG together (multi or single table). It's just fun to play with your friends, that doesn't mean you're cheating.

Agreed. I know that Pokerroom has bonuses for "friend referrals." Do they expect friends to steer clear of each other always? Should friends no sit at the same tables in B&M cardrooms?

Exactly. I went to a B&M casino with three friends this weekend. We played 10 hours of poker. The majority of the time I was at the same table with at least one friend. For about 3 hours we had all four of us sitting at the same table, and it even broke down to 6 players (4 of us friends), believe me we had no problem taking eachother's money. And the Casino didn't have any objections either.
