Default Do I give him credit for the boat?

10 handed. Hero is SB.
Dealt to Hero A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds. EP calls. MP calls. MP2 calls. Hero raises.
BB calls and so the rest.

Standard raise with AK.

** Dealing Flop ** T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets. BB, EP and MP call. MP2 folds. LP calls.

There aren't any draws out there but I've got the nuts and I want to charge those lesser straights and pairs.

** Dealing Turn ** J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets. EP calls. MP raises. LP folds. Hero 3-bets. EP calls. MP caps. Hero calls. EP calls.

Uh oh. Looks like he has a boat? I wonder what EP is staying in with too. Check/call mode now?

** Dealing River ** 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks. EP checks. MP bets. Hero calls. EP calls.

Results:
<font color="white">
MP shows [ Kh, 9h ] a straight, nine to king.
Hero shows [ Ah, Kd ] a straight, ten to ace.
EP doesn't show [ Kc, 5c ] a pair of jacks.
Hero wins the main pot with a straight, ten to ace.
</font>

He did represent a boat right? I was right to check/call?

yeah it looks like a boat, and yes you were right to call down... next time use the converter so we'll know how big the pot is w/out counting it out ourselves - converter

looks like he was on a slowplay, only w/out the goods... good work not folding

Dont post results with the hand, youll get better responses.

After he caps the turn, you gotta give him credit for the boat. But your certainly not folding.

I'm finding so much of this is the read on villian. I played at a table yesterday where one person was at 94% VP$IP at about 200 hands and I would have put him/her on at the most 2 pair, possibly just one.
