Re: Cold calling a raise with 99 in the big blind?
Why isn't it 10BB in the pot on the flop?
Calling the raise PF from the BB is fine. I'd fold this on the flop though. Given you didn't, a turn raise after one of your two outs hits is mandatory. |

Re: Cold calling a raise with 99 in the big blind?
This is an easy call from the BB. It's technically not called a cold-call since you've posted a blind.
Fold on the flop. Raise the turn. |

I thought this would be an easy 3bet from BB or am I a bit LAG from playing shorthanded.

Re: Cold calling a raise with 99 in the big blind?
Maybe I'm out of touch with Party 1/2, but here goes.
You didn't coldcall preflop as it was one bet to you. You can fold the flop. You can raise the turn. Not having raised the turn, you can raise the river, but just call the 3-bet against a typical opponent. A raise from the blinds typically indicates a big PP, and the only possible hands you're beating when he 3-bets the river are AA/AK, and that's not all that likely. |
