Default A K When the Flop Misses ?

Hello, any advice on this hand please (any streets)

I had Ad Kd on this hand, and I seem to play this hand ok if I flop something, but I never know what to do if the flop totally misses me.

I think I'm the same with all hands really, but any advice would be appreciated.

I think you played it fine. If the board were more ragged I would be inclined to call the turn raise and check-fold the river unimproved, but here you could be drawing dead to a hand like 98s or QJs, both of which are relatively reasonable hands for your opponents to be in there on. Add to that the ever-present possibility that you could spike an A on the river and then lose to A8, and I think the fold is prudent.

use the converter. if it isn't supported, take 30 seconds to put it in the format you see the other posts in. you'll get more responses and less misreads of the action.

i misread the action i didn't notice at what point the names repeated to indicate the button.

bet the flop. check the turn for the free card.

Sorry I didn't realize he was being offered a free card. Yeah, he should take the free card.
