another amusing hand
Good, live 4/8 game in Oregon.
I have AQh in the CO and raise after 4 limpers. BB and limpers call. Flop: Kc Qs 7h. Checked to me, I bet and get 3 callers. Turn: Qd. Checked to me and so I happily bet. River: 2c. Checked to MP who bets, I raise, fold, MP calls. MP has 22 for the rivered FH. LOL. I never saw that one coming. -bdy

How do the games there compare to, say, La Center?
I've never played at either, but I live in Portland so I'm curious.

I prefer Sprit Mtn. as a casino to any of the La Center ones, but I prefer the games at La Center to the games @ SM.
I've only played @ SM 3-4 times though.

The upside to Spt Mnt is that they have more tables, and it's nonsmoking. The games can be good. The downside is the 3 hour roundtrip from Portland.
The games are often good at LaCenter, but there are long waits to get a seat and the smoke really, really sucks. Also, it's only 20 minutes from PDX on the 5. -bdy

Not only does the smoke suck, but the people there are f'n nasty. The percentage of people who wash their hands after using the bathroom hovers in the low teens. And I'd bet the percentage of those who take more than two showers per month is even lower.
I take a shower/brush my teeth 100% of the time when I get home from there. *shiver* But I think the games are superior (for 2+2'ers) and I don't really have the time to drive to & from Spirit.
