whats the ruling here
on the turn, heads up, player A goes all-in. Player B asks if A has him covered. A says yes. B says "ok", acknowledging that he heard A's answer. A thinks "ok" means "I call" and flips over his cards.

Re: whats the ruling here
Player A screwed up. B can now make a decision. He can still call or he can now fold.

Re: whats the ruling here
i was B and it was my first time playing with these guys. it wasn't for any serious money and i didn't want to be accused (verbally or mentally) of shooting an angle. so I told him he could make the decision for me since he didn't know what i had. we both had stacks of about 400 and the other 2 players were shortstacked with around 100. and there was around 400 in the pot. 4 left, 2 get paid, payout is 80% 20%. board was 2h 3h 9h Ad. I had Kh Kd

Re: whats the ruling here
Well, that was a neighborly way to handle it. As long as you understand that the other guy screwed up and you had your free choice of action.
