Default Value of SSH if already playing past small stakes?

This may have already been discussed before, but I could find no such topic, so apologies in advance.

I'm in $10/$20 Empire now with the occasional stop in the $5/$10 games. Is it to my benefit to read SSH even though I no longer play small stakes loosey goosey games?

Does your answer change if I say that I haven't read HEFAP yet? Should I read SSH first and then HEFAP. Is SSH of any value to me at this stage in my poker "career?"

Thanks.

I'm not up to $10/$20 yet, so I can't give qualified advice. However, here's my two cents:

Could it hurt?? (for either book)?

The cost of SSH is 1 BB at that level

I have seen mike l. repeatedly speak the praises of SSH in his posts, and he plays a LOT higher than 10/20.

contradiction?

anyways, what is your win rate? if it's 1BB/100, then yes. if it's 10BB/100, then no. if it's somewhere in between, then probably.

actually the 5-10 and 10-20 full ring games at party are some of the tightest games out there. thats why people play 10-20 6 max or the 15-30 full.

I would read SSH, but not necessarily for those games. It will come in more handy when you play live.

i think HEFAP will be MUCH more useful at the 10-20 full on party, since these games are much tigher than a normal game on this level.

you are completely, totally, utterly and truly wrong. hpfap has virtually no application in mid-limit online games, and ssh is perfect for them.

uh... so which is it? i admit, i don't play party/empire at all. i play at pokerroom and the 5-10 is significantly looser than the 3-6, so i just assumed it was the same on party.

if the 5-10 and 10-20 on party are "the tightest games around", then SSH would be HORRIBLE. SSH takes advantage of bad players and big pots... i wouldn't expect either in the "tightest games around".

who is right?
