Default new applet: risk of ruin simulator

Still working on my java skills. This simulator is unbearably slow (at least on my machine) for accurate results (500k simulations runs, 300 tourneys per run), tolerable but still really slow for decent results (100k runs), and okay for very rough ballpark figures (10k runs).

Check it out: RoR calculator

Interesting!

I didn't know that my ROR was only ~60% with only 3 buy-ins. Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong.

1st 0.14
2nd 0.13
3rd 0.12

Stakes 30
BR 90

ROI 0.209
ROR 0.597

My ROI is calculated a bit too high I believe over 300 tourneys...nearly 60%.

Good tool. 500K runs only took 2 seconds on this machine.

Default clarification

I just clarified the meaning of the parameters. There's now a little explanation with the applet. Hope it makes more sense.

Thanks, I know someone answered it before. But why the applet is not working on my machine. What java setup I need to change? Thanks.

You need the Java VM from java.sun.com
