Default Re: Your insights on these hands Part III

My .02.

Hand 1, many players will make this move with an under pair, or a worse A than yours. So I don't think calling is incorrect. Having said that, I probably would have folded if I really felt he was playing an under pair. I just hate having to catch to win a pot. If my stack is smaller then I think it's an auto call.

Hand 2. Even if your read of this player is correct, he is liable to have 2 over cards to your 4's. So if you call I think the best you can expect to be is a small favorite. You could also easily be a big dog to an overpair. I really try to avoid situations that are at best a coin flip, so I think I would have folded. 10's or above I'm calling.

Hand #1: Nothing wrong with what you did. You're getting low in chips and this move would GREATLY help your chip stack. AK is a nice hand, and to win you have to take risks.

Hand #2: I would call. MP3 is getting very low in chips and it appears (to me atleast) that he needs to make a move and he doesnt have a huge hand. (although he certainly could) You're still in decent shape if you lose, but you'll be chip-leader is you call and win. It all depends on the read of your opponent is, though. If he played ROCK TIGHT all game, Id probobly lay this down.

#1, easy, easy, easy call. AK is awesome, you have less than 5x BB, though you have an average stack. Can't possibly imagine laying this down.

#2, I fold. He probably has 2 overs or an overpair, small favorite-big dog situation. Still got a decent stack, and I don't want to call half of my stack away with 4s.

Are you nuts?

I would rather shoot myself in the face than fold #1.
"" "" call #2.
