Default \"Unable to compact database\" , pokertracker

I am getting this when I try to compact my poker tracker databases, I have talked to the pokertracker guy and he is working on it, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this same problem.

You may have already done this, but make sure you don't have any other windows open in pokertracker when you go to compact your database.

I had this too, tried like 5-6 times over a few days, finally just rebooted and it fixed it.

You might not have enough free space on your hard drive. You need quite a bit to compact a large database.

This happened to me too. Basically what may have happened, if space isn't an issue, is you have an external game time or tourney time window process running on your computer even though you might not think you do. Go to your task manager(XP or 2000) and kill all instances of pt2gt.exe. This should fix it. Rebooting will fix it too, as someone else said.

Also could be that the PT database has exceeded its maximum size, either 1G or 2G depending on the version of Access.
