PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)
UTG is laggy and tends to carry hands too far. SB has not played many hands, no read beyond that. The best part about this hand is MP1 capping the flop, then folding when it's checked to him on the turn.
I think you should have folded preflop, and I also have to wonder why you capped preflop when it came back to you. Does 55 have that much equity 6-way? |

[/ QUOTE ] I have won some big pots with this play. When it comes back to me for 3-bets last to act(with button) I imagine one or even two big PPs and/or AK. If these players like their hands and are known to resist laying them down I see opportunity. Is this poor thinking? (Of course normally I like to play small PPs for one SB.) |

What about you capping is going to change the way they play post flop? If they have those hands you are losing money by capping.
Edit: You don't have equity, you have implied odds, one shouldn't raise when relying on implied odds to even call to begin with. And you need to know for sure that someone is coming in behind you (and hopefully not for a raise) to cold call. In general you are better off folding here. |
