Default Key Hand #1: 2 table SNG Who plays it differently?

this was probably the 2nd hand into the final table so most of the players in on the hand were players i had'nt played with so i had no gauge on their play. at any rate, i felt a mini-raise would give me more value, which it did, but it obviously did'nt work out in the end. in hindsight, i probably still would've gotten called even with a 3X BB raise. i saw one big stack call a 3X BB raise preflop with 3 5o and win. some of these guys were winning with all kinds of crazy hands.

you have just under 10Xbb left. Why mess around with a min raise? He did catch his draw, but it's partially cause you let him play for cheap.

Just push this pre-flop.

You brought this upon yourself. Go all in pre flop.

I wouldn't go allin preflop from second position for 9xBB. You want action with AA. I think you have to miniraise or limp. A bigger nonallin raise might look suspicious, since you might only play that way with a big pair.

That was a nasty flop, but you got your money in with the advantage plus a lot of dead money on the pot.

i did'nt like my position, which is why i felt the mini-raise was best. i did'nt like the idea of pushing all-in pf from such an early position either. had i been in mp or lp with limpers and raisers in front, then it definitely would've been push city.

I would have raised more pre-flop, although I wouldnt have gone all-in with it.

I also wouldnt have gone all-in on the flop, because theres so much (with that flop) that has (or could have) aces beat.

well you are crazy .

I usually raise this to 250 pf and push any flop.

Your line was fine but I dont like giving those kinda odds to anyone.

a 250 raise is not much better than a 200 raise. in this instance, a 250 raise and push on the flop does'nt change anything with the same cards.

again, i ask, "is this one of the hands (adanthar) says that i'm playing too way LAG?" maybe this is one of those hands where i'm 'calling for the right price'. hmmmmmmm.
