Default Fantasy football receiver decision...who would you start?

I have four receivers currently on my roster:

Andre Johnson (Texans) v. Minnesota
Brandon Stokley (Colts) v. Oakland
Torry Holt (Rams) v. Seattle
Reche Caldwell (Chargers) v. Jacksonville

I have two WR slots to fill.
Points mainly for yards and tds but not for receptions.

I appreciate the input...

I'd go with Holt and Johnson. Both are the #1 receiving options for their teams. Stokely had a huge game against Green Bay, but I don't see him putting up consistent numbers week in and week out. Especially when he has to share the ball with Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I would take Adre Johnson and Brandon Stokley. Torry Holt is great, but I think Seattles defense will limit his yards this week. Reche Caldwell is another reciever going up against a stong defense, which tends to lead to a low scoring game and not much prodution on offense. The clear choices are Johnson and Stokley.
These two recievers are going up against weaker defenses this week. Its a lot more likely they will produce better results.

Whenever i try to get fancy by not starting a "must start" player, i always get kicked in the arse. Id vote for starting Holt and Johnson. If you didnt get points for yards, maybe take a chance, but if stl is down early to sea (and they prob. will), those 290 bulger catchup yards (with 1 TD and 3 ints) have to go somewhere.

A few weeks ago, my cousin started Warrick Dunn over LaDanian Tomlinson because Tomlinson was playing in Denver. My cousin looks at all sorts of fancy statistics and makes decisions based on how many field goals Steve Christie has against Green Bay.

The truth is, people who look at fantasy football like this are often outthinking themselves. Stokely and Caldwell, despite their early seasons success, are speculative picks every week. Torry Holt is not. He's getting a bunch of catches no matter what. He is one of the top three WRs in the league and a must-start every week. Do not sit him for some piece of crap.

Your other start should be Andre Johnson. There is little reason to ever sit him at this point. You need more than a 3rd WR (albeit the best in the league and better than most 2nds) or a SD WR to jerk him out of the lineup.

as far as Stokley is concerned. He is a legit reciever playing out of the slot. Oakland has 2 good corners (to cover harrison and Wayne). Expect Stokley, Pollard, and Dallas Clark to have big games against the Raiders, along with 125+ yards rushing (between James and Rhoades). I know, long winded.....play Stokley this week.

HORRIBLE advice. Johnson and Holt, this isn't even close. Holt isn't even part of this equation regardless of the D he faces, so it's which one out of the other 3. Could Stokley grab a bomb to go over a 100 and a TD on the day? Yes. But tell me who you want in there on Sunday - the third WR on a team that sat out of practice up until Friday and is probable on the IR or the #1 WR for a Texans offense that will be trying to match Culpepper and Moss stride for stride all afternoon?
