Canterbury - Sat. 10/9

Hey all,

The wife and I will be making a trip to Canterbury on Saturday, hopefully arriving around noon or shortly after. Our plans are to play anything from 2-4 up to 6-12 until supper time. Hopefully the wait list won't be too long at noon. Would like to meet people from the forum if any of you will be there.

I advise you to play in the $4/$8 or $6/$12 game. The games are just as good at this level and the rake doesnt take as much of an effect.

Pretty good chance I'll be there. Either that or out drinking. Anyway, if there is a $30/60 stud/8 game, there's a good chance that I'll be in it. Otherwise, I'll probably be playing $15/30 HE, maybe $6/12 or $8/16. The beard's gone, but I still look a lot like my picture, and essentially all of the staff know who I am. Feel free to say hi if I'm not in a hand.

Ahh too bad that the time you're gonna be there doesnt work out with my schedule for the weekend. I'll be up in Minneapolis for the weekend. I'm likely to be at Canterbury Friday night and maybe Saturday night, depending on what happens this weekend. All I know is at 3 I'll be at Game 4 of the Yankees Twins series. I'll be one of the few Yankees fans in that stadium, so it'll be much like Wednesday night being the only Yankees fan in Canterbury.

I've been there before and know how atrocious the rake is in the lowest limits. I have no problem playing the 6-12, however it is -EV to sit in games with higher limits than the wife approves of. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Should be arriving around 1 or so if all goes as planned.

I'll be playing the 6/12 and wearing jeans and a silverish button-down shirt. The staff doesn't know me quite that well yet, but give it time. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
