Is this guy really a fish?
I'm relatively new to this poker thing, but I have read SSHE. Ed Miller recommends calling preflop if there's no raise even with K2s, if you're in late position. But he also says that calling raises cold with weak hands is one of the biggest money losing mistakes you can make. And to further complicate things, he says that his hand recommendations are not set in stone, and you should absolutely take into account the nature of the game and the individual player types.
So, I got to thinking. If I were in late position and five or six known passive players had already called before the raiser, and this raiser had already shown himself to be very loose and agressive, I too would have called that raise preflop with K5s. Given the circumstances above, would you still classify the call as a fish-like move? FYI, I currently play with success at the 1/2 level, so maybe my thinking would be different if I were at 15/30. Don't know, but curious about other opinions at this point.
