Re: Stars nl 3/6 hand
I'm guessing AJ. Would the player raise to 12 with 66?

Re: Stars nl 3/6 hand
with no reads, i'd be pretty unhappy about putting in 200 bb's on TPTK. i guess there are three possible choices i'm suggesting then:
- fold to c/r: not enthusiastic about this one - call the flop, fold the turn: seems pretty likely he'll bet the turn regardless of whether he has a hand, so this seems like the first option, only worse. - 3bet the flop: the exciting choice. plan on folding to further aggression. the tough decision will be if it goes: (flop) check, bet, c/r, 3bet, call (turn) check, check (river) villain bets, hero ? i think 3-betting the flop does let you figure out for relatively cheap if you're behind. if villain will 4-bet the flop without a hand that beats you, more power to him. |

[/ QUOTE ] right, cause i definitely didn't figure that out when i wrote about "putting in 200 bb's on TPTK" - that would take quite a while playing limit. and there's no way anyone would talk about "3-betting" in a no-limit game - that's CRAZY! nice idea for a post, though - you should hang on to it. |

Re: Stars nl 3/6 hand
you want him to re-re-raise for 550-600 (1/2 his stack) on the flop?
