Actually, there is some truth to his post. If you want to play party, it might be cheeper to buy a dedicated poker computer... plus you can then get poker tracker.

I've used VPC before, its ok but not stellar. How does VPC perform when multi-tabling at Party? What happens if you add Poker Tracker to the mix?

At work when we used to have only Macs, there was one airline reservations application that only worked on PC... so we got VirtualPC with Win98 and loaded it on the best Mac we had there (fancy schmancy iMac that cost almost $2k at the time).

Damn thing was so slow I thought it'd be 5 o'clock before we'd be able to make a single reservation. For less than $1000 you can get yourself a cheapy laptop and save yourself some aggravation.

I have absolutely no idea. I have a PC and I always have. This summer I contemplated buying a powerbook and of course my #1 concern was poker, so I looked into VPC. I have no idea if it works well, or if it even works for that matter...all I know is that Microsoft says it does.

I had a mac about 7 years ago with VPC. It was useless. So slow it wasn't worth spending $10 on it. That was a long time ago in computer years, and I wasn't playing poker at the time.
