Why call on the turn if you're going to fold on the river?

i did fold and know its a mistake so its why i posted. my thinking on the turn was he could be reraising here with AJ or AQ, but he wouldnt value bet the river if i call this reraise. if thats true then my line would be ok, but it probably isnt. it doesnt seem like that much of a stretch though right?

you folded? eck.

ok, to the hand again. pf no brainer.
flop meh. turn i would bet out here, but a CR is okay. except that your CR here stinks. the pot is $81 after you call and you raise him another $22? Not only does that look very weak, it gives him beatiful odds to draw at almost anything.

heres the thing i hate the most cornell, if you put him on exactly AQ, why just call his reraise? that and the fact that you folded getting over 3.5-1 on your river call. i just dont like the hand.

you represented weakness the whole time, including the size of you turn CR, and he acted on that.

i didnt put him on AQ, that was just one of the hands i thought he could have. i was kinda split on whether he had me or was overplaying aq/aj, and i thought he would check behind on the river and bet with a hand that beats me, so it was a nice way to save money. when the queen fell and he bet the river i figured im only ahead of one hand, and its unlikely, so i folded. i made a mistake on like every street though

look forward to more random, badly played hands! i can only get on stars at my university connection so im going to play solely short handed 3/6 and 5/10 for a bit

ok, i see where you are coming from. i think bottom line is that the mistakes you made, make it tough to figure out whether or not you are beat. i do that [censored] all the time. ill feign weakness sometimes, then wonder whether he is betting bc of that, or he actually has a hand. bad situation to be in against a decent player.

how often do you check with AK HU? i hope you are balancing this off by CRing your AA and KK sometimes here too.

also, a player read would help tons here.
