Default Middle pair, overcard, 3 flush

Live 2/4 limit. I am in the big blind with 10c4c. 5 handed.

Checked to me. I check.

Flop: 2c, 4d, 8s.

I bet $2. 4 callers.

Turn: Ac.

I bet (UTG) $4, 2 players call, 3 raises to $8, 4 folds.

I call, 2 and 3 call.

River: 10c

UTG checks, 2 checks, 3 checks, 4 bets.

UTG calls, 2 calls, 3 folds.

--------------
I ended up taking the pot and getting MF'd for betting with the middle pair. What do you guys think? Middle pair, overcard, 3 flush-- I think I did the right thing (except maybe should've raised the river).

I wouldn't bet middle pair with a weak kicker on this flop as you're out of position and betting into 4 other players. I'd check-raise the river.

I would have played it the same way. I think a checkraise on the river is close. I'm not sure how much more likely the guy is to have aces up than just a pair of aces. With the other guy paying off I might be a little more likely to do it.

Looks like a deck change is in order.

Nothing like rivering a misdeal.

For me it would depend on your player reads. If I have someone who will always bet the flop (as I did last night) I would go for the checkraise here. You are probably ahead, again this may be dependant on your player reads. If one of the two opponents to your immediate right bet and there is a caller I would get out of the hand. If it comes around to you without a caller,I would checkraise. If raised back, fold. Bet the turn and let it play itself. Bet the river.
