How to improve bubble play? (long)

I've found that when it comes down to the last 4 players, whether I place in the money or not (unless I have a big lead) is often a coin flip. In this tourney I finished 3rd, but I could have just as easily finished 4th. Is there anything wrong with my play here? or is this coin flip phenomenon just variance? I've edited out some hands where I folded hands preflop by the way.

The most obvious way to improve your game is to steal the blinds once in a while. I don't think you put in a raise with any hands except AT or higher. When they folded to the hands that you actually did push, you should've realized that you could take more pots uncontested like that. Also, if you're going to play against the BB from the SB go in for at least a raise unless you have a read that he defends with any two..

Here you are CO and you had just pushed with A, 10 a hand or so earlier. Why is A, 10 now bad? perhaps you had a read on one of the other players?

Lastly, I think you had the best hand here and a push would have won you the blinds again. note he did not raise when you called from the sb and then when you checked (because you saw a king?) he only bet 300. Of course you should have folded, but I think a push pre-flop and you would have won his blind.
