PT Auto-Rate Criteria for 6-max

This AM I downloaded the new beta version of Poker Tracker. As always, it just gets better and better. One of the new features is to "auto-rate" your opponents based on various statistics where it then categorizes them automatically including an appropriate icon for quick assessment. (Hopefully the description or the icon would be very cool, will show up in Party's player notes)

Now you can set the criteria yourself, or I've posted my first shot at it for 6max below that you can copy into a text file and use the import feature in PT.

Comments on my guidelines would be most appreciated by those wiser than me and I hope this is a helpful file and discussion for others. IF the following doesn't work for copy and paste because of spacing issues, PM me and I'll email the txt file to anyone interested.

Nice work, when i autorated my players i just kinda had to wing it, using bisons numbers from full table as an approximate guide, but i think yours look a little better than what i did.

AHHH, i just tried to import your "rules" and it said the import was a success but it didnt actually work because now they all say "no rules defined" What did i do wrong?

Good point, here's my latest revision. Oh, and I now understand these icon's dont show up in party notes (that would be the coolest to replace the lame people avatars with your PT icons), so how exactly should a person use this new feature? Same with the new auto-import, auto-update HH thing, how are players maximizing the power of PT now? I feel like I'm just scratching the surface.

I took a slightly different approach. First, I divided VPIP into only 2 divisions - tight (< 30). I divided aggression into 3 divisions. Here are my rules - text file available on request.

I normally export: Vol. put $ in preflop, preflop raise, aggression factor flop, turn and river into the notes at Party Poker.

This says more then your icons.

I think its important to divide the aggression factor because some people is extremly aggressive on one street but not on others.

I would suggest using the icons for people who plays abnormly in other ways: like folding to much on river, checkraising a lot, not checkraising at all, not defending blinds/always defending blinds, stealing a lot...

In this way you will have all the information about preflop and aggression factor + if he is tricky in some way. Havent had time to do this yet, but when/if I have, I will post it.

I also export the same information as Kiddo but I like the icons because they can pretty much tell me at a glance the style player I am up against.

I have completely eliminated PFR from my icons because I am more interested in post flop aggression. So I have loose, semi-loose and tight players based on VPIP. I further differentiate this with 4 different levels of aggression for the tight and semi-loose players. Since the loose passive players make up the majority, I use a fifth super passive category with them.

There are definitely some interesting trends between the categories, but I would rather see a little bit larger sample size before making assumptions. Generally though it seems pretty clear that the passive players are going to get killed in this game.

Hi, just wondering if you (or anybody else) learned how to get around this problem. I importated some of the posted ratings, but get the same message. Thanks in advance to any help
