Default JJ on MP1 - AKQ flop.

BB is fairly loose (~35% VPIP).

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Among the favorable flops for JJ, this is not very high on the list. Should I just surrender here and fold to the first bet? He is fairly loose, so he might not have me beat.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

He took a while to call the flop bet, figured I'd fire again. This time the call was instant.

River: (5.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 5.25 BB
Main Pot: 5.25 BB, between Hero and BB.

I have no problem laying down hands when I see resistance, but what happens when you don't see resistance? Was my line standard for this? Should I even think about value betting the river here?

I don't bet this river either. Way more than 50% of the time you are beaten unless there is a read otherwise. I do bet the turn though - too many players call the flop to see if you're serious enough about your hand to bet the turn.
