Default Deal Calculator

For those of you interested, I created a Deal Calculator that will figure out how much money you should get if you did a deal on pure chip counts. This is primarily of use only to Stars players, as that's the only site where support will enforce deals for you.

Chief911 was gracious enough to host it for me here.

It's pretty simple, it will calculate 2 way up to 5 way deals. Just put the prize amounts and the chip counts in the appropriate columns and then look up the splits in the appropriate split column. The sample provided shows a three way split.

The spreadsheet just takes the total prize pool, subtracts the amount each player is guarenteed, and splits the remaining pool based on chips counts with the total reflecting this % amount along with the guarenteed money.

Tournament deal making theory suggests that if you want a deal and are one of the big stacks, you should try and push for the straight up chip split this calculator spits out. If you are a short stack you should push for an amount higher than what this calculator whould suggest and that it come out of the bigger stack's portion. How you negotiate that is up to you.

Please let me know if you find any glaring errors or additions that should be made. Post it to this thread.
