Default Anyone play Brag?

Anyone ever play Three Card Brag in a friendly home game environment? Brag Rules (or are "Brag" and "friendly" mutually exclusive?) If so, do you have any rules in place to keep things from getting out of hand with the betting? A tournament perhaps? ...anyone try this?

Used to play in a pretty lively NL game a couple of years back. I know some very good players, but the game's just too wild for me! There were at least 3 people playing blind every hand, no limit and no table stakes so players would pull wads of notes from their back pockets.

I think it could be adapted into a decent tournament game - NL or PL. Just make sure the rules and hand rankings are clear. I've seen new players get upset about 333 being the top hand, and straights beating flushes.

As far as strategy goes, my biggest tip is don't play blind and punish those who do.

Hope you get a game going...and good luck if you do!

Yes, this is the game that was in "Lock, Stock..." but there are a few key differences between it and 3 card poker, most notably the betting structure.
