I'm wondering what you people think of this? I flopped a full house, and thought I was sitting good. I didn't see it coming though. Is my opponent the bigger idiot? Or was he slowplaying me?
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind. UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, Hero raises, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB (poster) calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls. Flop: (8 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 folds. Turn: (5.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls. River: (8.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB caps, Hero calls, SB calls. Final Pot: 20.50 BB Results below: SB has 6s Qh (three of a kind, twos). BB has 5s 2h (four of a kind, twos). UTG doesn't show. Hero has Kc Kh (full house, twos full of kings). Outcome: BB wins 20.50 BB. Thoughts appreciated. |

No I would've played it the same as you. Something like a .06% chance of flopping 4 of a kind, so I wouldn't have worried about it.

.06%? Sure it maybe that rare before the flop, but after a 3 of a kind flop you would still play like it's only a .06% chance that someone else has the case deuce? Out of the 47 cards you haven't seen there were still 6 live hole cards post flop. I think that works out to about a 13% chance someone else has flopped quads.
In any case BB is an idiot for calling a pre-flop raise with a 5 2 offsuit. But once he flopped quads it was probably appropriate to slowplay them. The real idiot in this hand is SB -- amazing... |

He decided to wait until the river to act, here he could have any PP, an 8, 5, or an Ace, all of which are wayyy more likely than a 2. I just end up losing money on a hand like this.
Edit: Im retarded I said .06% which makes no sense, 6% if using one hole card, but more like 12% because you have 2 of them. Sorry bout that. -Sent |
