Default When, if ever, should I have slowed down here?

Let's try this in the RIGHT forum, sigh:

The table is pretty fishy/loose from the time I've been here EXCEPT for MP1 who seems to know his stuff (no reads this early, but he has lots and lots of chips).

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 8, 8.
UTG calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (14.50 SB) 2, 8, Q (7 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, CO calls, BB folds, UTG folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 caps, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (17.25 BB) J (5 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises, MP2 calls $5 (All-In), CO calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (26.50 BB) 7 (5 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, UTG+2 folds, MP1 raises, CO folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 30.50 BB

since no suits are posted I guess a flush isn't a concern. I would have 3 bet the turn. MP1 might show you a set of queens or jacks but thats life. I would want to charge the rest of the players the most to draw.

It is because I copied from the thread where I originally (and wrongly) posted. But yes, there was no flush threat.

With him capping preflop with me, I had him on AA, KK, QQ, or AK. When he wanted to cap the flop I assumed he had one of the pairs. When he bet into me still on the turn, I got a bit scared and that's why I called there and on the river.

He showed pocket queens for the bigger set.

dont stop and go the river. Either 3 bet the turn, or call call

I would have slowed down when he raised me on the turn after he capped the flop and I still bet into him. AA or KK typically dont play that aggressive, so hes got you figured for a set or at least 2 pair and hes still hammering at you, I call down.
