Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
Do poker sites keep e-mail addresses private or do they sell them? I get about 50 spam e-mails a day for things such as refinancing my home, vicadin, viagra, penis enlargement (I know, probably my wife contacted them), prescription drugs cheap, someone wanting to meet me, etc. I have comcast cable connection but they don't block these. I'm going to start using a new e-mail account but I'm wondering if I'll have the same problem if poker sites give out e-mail addresses. Just trying to figure out why I get these and others I know don't.

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
I get very few spam messages to my poker email. (And I have no spam filter) I do not think they sell them.
Also, If you would like a google email address, PM me, and I will send you the invite. |

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
I know that several of them put spyware/adware on your computer. I would be very surprised if they don't sell email addresses. There are few companies that don't sell your email/address once they get ahold of it. Good mailing lists are big money.

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
I know that sending those birthday cards online will put both the sender and the receiver on a mail list, and you will get all kind of mails after that.
My gf had the most virgin of accounts but now it is filled with smut! I do not think the most respected poker rooms sell their email list, the players are to valuable to them for that. ToT |

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
Probably not the reputable ones.
I did do some casino whoring late last year few months when I just moved to a new country. Practicly no-one had my new address, except for these sites. First letter I receive in the mail at my new address was a lottery scam based in Spain. Granite |

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
Also, remember that if you use neteller, firepay etc. that the e-mail you give the poker site must be the same as the one you used on your neteller account. If you use a new e-mail and don't update you account(s), the transaction will be declined.

I know that Aztec does, I got one called (I think) Casino-on-net from them, I think Pacific does, others I suspect but aren't certain.

Re: Do poker sites sell e-mail addresses?
Pacific is the poker room for Casino-on-net (AKA www.888.com) so its not really suprising you're getting mail from them.
Their casino bonus is really good btw. |
