Default Foxwoods?

How are the games here? Profitable? Rocks or tourists? I will be going on a saturday and probably playing some 2/4, 4/8 and maybe a little of the 100 max no limit.

Any advice would be helpful

they are generally very profitable from 4/8 all the way up, and the 1/2 NL is super soft. 5/5 can be good also.

In all likelyhood you'll be facing a lot of loose/passive players (you'll be shocked at how bad they play if all your experience has been online). If you're comfortable playing 4/8 I'd go for it, as the 2/4 and $100 no limit are raked pretty heavy.

I agree with the other responders-- games are very soft at every level I've played (up to 10/20) so sit at the highest your bankroll can handle to minimize the rake. Prepare to be sucked out on often, too (as is often the case at a table full of calling stations).

I second the "be prepared to be sucked out often." I can't count the number of times my AA got beat even after pre-flop raise with rags.

Loose loose loose, passive passive passive.

Good games, long lines.

Yeah, really good games.

Crap. Now, I'm gonna have to go down there again.

A while back, I mentioned to a couple of friends that I was going to Foxwoods over the weekend. When I got back, I reported a modest win. One of the friends said he was worried that I was going to play too loose, worrying that all that nickel/dime play online had ruined my "real game."

I had to explain how the online nickel/dime games are actually tougher than what you find at Foxwoods LL tables.

1-2 NL makes me feel like I am a great poker player, where as online I am maybe just slightly above average, and in general I am still learning a lot about the game. There is a system (you will figure it out yourself) that you can follow that will result in 80-90% winning sessions. I have had winning sessions about 13 out of 15 times. Other thing great about this game is you dont need to bring more than 300 bucks. If you have to rebuy more than twice in a single session... (assuming 12 hrs or less), you might be one of the people making the game so soft
