Default How are the Party 5/10 Full Tables?

Are the 5/10 and 10/20 tables pretty tight due to all the fish going into six max? What do you do after 3/6 if you don't want to play 6 max?

I'm kinda stuck in the same situation myself.

70k hands at 3/6 for 2.24bb/100
20k hands at 5/10 for -.20bb/100

Either I'm having a tough time beating the game or I'm on a pretty bad streak at 5/10. I just can't tell. Either way, the tables are pretty tight.

I just dont know what to do anymore.

Well, I see a lot of attempts at deception at 5/10, much, much, much more than 3/6... and not even good bluffing, just bad play.

I had AA and I raised, one guy calls, and proceeds to raise me on every street. Turned out he made a pair of threes with 3-5 offsuit. Great way to end a night. I would have extracted much more money from him than I had, but the board got a little scary, so I had to slow down. (8Q38Q)

EDIT: I find the 10/20 tables MUCH more playable in terms of being more ordered and less chaotic.

that bad play is exactly what makes 5/10 6max so profitable. Just make sure you have a large bankroll and the stomach for the crazy swings.

I'm not good enough at shorthanded, I play too tight as it is, I think I'd get run over. I wouldnt know what hands to add where :/

Open up a 15/30 table or two and sweat them.

Then start building a roll...

Yah, I've done this often actually. The games look pretty soft to me. I have a decent sized bankroll. I've made about 14k and I'd be willing to use about 10k. Just waiting to increase it so I can play the 15 game.

I've had it suggested to me that table selection is very important on the 5/10 full tables. I've found this to be usefull advice. What I've done is I've put up 4 3/6 tables and then I've gotten on the waiting lists for a couple of the better 5/10 games and added them if they were still really good. So far the games seem pretty good and for a fairly small sample size (just under 2K hands) I'm at about 4bb/100 hands. This is probably pretty high and the sample size is nowhere near big enough to tell but the games seem pretty good if you just use some table discretion. Some of the games are as tight as a 2+2 table. These you obviously want to avoid.
