Default KK in the big blind

50 ish person live nl tournament $20 buy in.
our table breaks and i sit down in the big blind which is 1.5 currently and i have about T26, about 30 players left.

seat 3(t30) raises to 3 seat 4(T20) calls seat 5(T65) reraises to 8 folded to me me in the BB and two black kings i find. i count out the 8 then push 15.75 more in. seats 3 and 4 fold and seat dilly dallys 4 a while and calls. btw he was big stack from my previous table a little loose typical aggression level. what should i have done called, pushed, folded or reraised non push? results to follow thank you
jason

I think pushing is fine. If the payout structure is pretty steep, you also may want to try flat calling and pushing on any non-ace flop. This is a little less safe, since it has the potential to backfire if you let someone hit a 2-pr or better hand on the flop. However, you will get paid off more when you flop an overpair and someone makes TPTK or a smaller overpair. Also, it allows you to get away from an ace high flop if the two EP players call.

I'd probably push preflop here. I couldn't really see myself committing almost a third of my stack with the intent to fold should an ace or other scary cards flop. Any non-push raise is more than half your stack anyway, so you might as well push. And unless one of the raisers flips over his cards and shows me two aces, I'm not folding this here. You won't get too many great opportunities like these to double up, or at least augment your stack by taking down a nice T16.5 (or so) pot if he folds. So push and hope for the best.

If he had aces or sucked out, tough luck, next tournament.

Default results

my thoughts after the 975 flop were that mayb i should have just flat called(pretty suspicious looking though). in the end the big stack flipped up AQs and i had to sweat it donw the river where the ugly Ac showed its head. in the end i tworked out ok i joined a nice nlhe/nlO8 game and recouped enough to = roughly 3rd and a half place. more thoughts definitely appreciated

Just push. Usually you always want to reraise with KK, unless you are pretty sure someone has aces. Win the pot or get your money in with the best hand.
