Default Why I love playing micro limits

I'm not even in this hand, 88 in EP is a sometimes I do sometimes I don't hand for me .. but it just made me smile to be at this table:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG raises, Hero folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button 3-bets, SB folds, BB caps, UTG calls, Button calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, Button calls.

Turn: (7.75 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, Button calls.

River: (10.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, Button folds.

Final Pot: 12.75 BB
Main Pot: 12.75 BB, between BB and UTG. Pot won by BB (12.75 BB).

BB shows Qc 2c (flush, ace high).
UTG shows Ks Kc (one pair, kings).
Outcome: BB wins 12.75 BB.

I'd have folded even pocket kings on the flop faster then superman on laundry day.

Also, at Party $.5/1 you should be limping 88 in EP every time, unless of course there's a raise in front like in this hand.

They were suited. Worth a cap in my book.

Kopefire - so you are saying you love micro because you enjoy making a very small amount of money?

no, I love micro limits because I enjoy playing against people who will cap betting in early position with something like Q3s

I have no problem with pocket kings staying in with the pot as big as it is. But I just love someone who will cap the betting in EP preflop with Q2s.

I mean . .if it was Q3 I could see it ..

I've heard that before .. but frankly, I've had at best marginal success with 88 and 77. I don't think my post-flop play is good enough to sustain a steady diet of those hands yet, so I tend to not play them in a raised pot, and even in an unraised pot, I probably muck them 50-60% of the time from EP and MP.

...but frankly, that's a poor way of playing +EV hands.
