My first orbit, haven't seen MP2 play a hand yet.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) Preflop: Hero is UTG with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, Hero calls, MP1 calls. Flop: (12 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP2 3-bets, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls, Hero caps, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, Button calls, BB calls. Turn: (15.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, Button calls, BB folds, Hero 3-bets, MP2 caps, Button calls, Hero calls. River: (27.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP2 raises, Button folds, Hero calls. Who 3-bets here? At this point I'm almost positive he has JJ. But lots of people refuse to believe their overpairs are beat, and will cap KK/AA all day long. Without knowing which my opponent is, I don't think I can 3-bet this with confidence. Final Pot: 31.50 BB |

Against anyone but a maniac, given the PFR and all the capping JJ is the only reasonable hand; most players would slow down with just one pair (even if it is an overpair), and no 2-pair flop hand would raise PF. I definitely don't 3-bet the river, and might consider check-calling instead of betting out after the turn is capped again.

I don't 3-bet. In fact I thought hard about whether I'd lead, but we're really only worried about JJ, and some people are fond of overplaying an overpair on a board like this (like me, for instance), so I think we need to bet call a raise. Nice hand.
