Why the bet on the river after just calling the turn?

He checked. He's basically screaming "My AQ/Axs sucks."

Because the SB showed weakness on the river, unless he is trying to check raise I would value bet it here, probably overplaying a draw.

I wouldn't play this from EP.

It's ok to play it in loose passive LL games. With the poster in the hand already, I'd consider playing it in slightly tougher game conditions also. Note that the hand is +EV UTG+1 at pokerroom.

Thank you. SSH has this as being playable from Early Position in loose games.

That seems interesting to me. I guess at loose-passive games, K9s could be +EV. It's just too speculative of a hand for me to play out of position. I'm dominated by so many hands here.

If you don't play AXs out of position, why K9s?

I don't know if Clark has specifically stated otherwise, but most people limp with Axs in EP in typical micro games. I haven't checked the SSH hand rankings in a while but I think even HPFAP says this.

Maybe Clark doesn't do it in his 40-80, but I do it at 1/2 all the time.

I'd certainly play AXs out of position at many tables. At a tighter table, A9s+ and KJs+
