Default Getting to Bay Area Casinos?

I go to school in Downtown SF and live there as well

I want to start playing some poker at the Bay Area casinos, but i don't have a car or any other ride and would most likely be making these trips alone. Are any of the casinos close to a bart station?

I know that the Oaks room is somewhat near a bart station, but it seems that it has a bad rep and may not be safe to go to alone (im only 21, and kinda little )...

any help is great, thanks...

PS. Anyone know of a site that i can use to get bus or bart directions to these casinos?

You can pretty much get to Lucky Chances by Bart. Take the Bart to Colma. You can wait for the shuttle that runs about every half an hour or its like a $7 cab ride.

Artichoke Joe's is like across the street from a CalTrain stop. I think it's the San Bruno stop.

I don't think the Oaks is inherently dangerous. Walking from the MacArthur station to there and back with your bankroll in your pocket probably would be though.

PS Do you still play in that home game in SF?

There is a bus fron the SF Bus terminal that drops you off right by the Oaks.

If you take BART you can call The Oaks and they will send the shuttle for you. But it can take awhile. Seems they have only one shuttle driver. Once they told me he was on his meal break and it would be an hour. I took the bus after that.

I usually take BART to Colma then a shuttle to Lucky Chances...The shuttle is very convenient and you can avoid having to wander through the massive cemeteries!
