Re: 77
Looks like an easy fold to me.

Re: 77
You think this is an easy fold? Care to provide some detail as to why?

Re: 77
3 overcards to your pair
you have 2 outs, if that pot is small you've shown aggression if he is semibluffing with draw + overcards, he will draw out on you 1/3 time or so anyway fold time |

Re: 77
Give me a range of hands that villian will raise with.

Re: 77
Because your behind. You'd have to have have one hell of a read on this guy as being one hell of a maniac for him to be playing any hand you beat like this.

Re: 77
It's funny, 77 is my most losing hand out of my small 4,000 hand sample size. I think I just always go too far with it. I say this is a fold with three overcards, only two outs and action to you.

Re: 77
Thanks for the wisdom, Ralph.
OK, I should have provided a few more details here. I have been at this table for 30 minutes or so. Villian is not in my PT database but seems rather loose, playing too many hands and generally playing kind of "goofy". That's about the only "read" I have. I posted this hand because I think it's so marginal. One question in this thread was "Give me a range of hands that villian will raise with". I think the better starting question is "What range of hands would the button cold call with"? At Party, wouldn't hands such as A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], JT, or other pocket pairs be possible cold calling hands? Raising draws here on the turn is not out of the question by a long shot. |

Re: 77
I think this is relatively close and totally depends on your read of the button, IMO. The button could easily hold A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in this spot, I think (that's not the optimum way to play the hand, IMO, but I've seen a lot worse).
If you're confident the button wouldn't raise with a draw, then fold, of course. If you call here, then check-call the river, obviously. |
