Flopped straight - missed bets
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP1 posts a blind of $0.50. UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 (poster) checks, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (7 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7 players) Hero bets, BB folds, UTG calls, MP1 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button raises, Hero calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls, CO folds. 3-bet? I didn't because I was looking for overcalls - bad idea when I've got such baby flush cards? Raise people out? Raise for value? Turn: (8 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, Button bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP1 calls, Button bets $2.25 (All-In), Hero calls, MP1 calls. I think I should have capped, not sure why I didn't. River: (14.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in) Hero bets, MP1 folds. Final Pot: 15.75 BB |

This hand is one of the few times I advocate a stop n' go.

Re: Flopped straight - missed bets
Guess I'll throw my two cents in...
I think I 3-bet the flop for the reason that you identified... while you're holding the nuts at the moment it's a very vulnerable hand if a diamond falls and somebody completes their flush. Not that you could have known it at the time, but it appears that MP1 was on the draw, which good for you he did not hit. |
