KK hand I knew I was beat the flop, fold?
KK flop is JJ9 two hearts, I capped preflop and 4 saw the flop, I was BB and a guy on late was the maniac who keept raising preflop, the SB bets on the flop, I knew I was beat and called him down, J9, yet if I had raised him he woundlt have 3beted with that monster and I was going to do the betting for him just to get raised on the river, how should I have played?

Re: KK hand I knew I was beat the flop, fold?
So you knew you were beat, and you knew he wouldn't 3bet the flop. I haven't read "Mandrake the Magician's Guide to Poker Excellence" yet, but I have a feeling you're placing a bit too much emphasis on your powers of divination.
Raise the flop. If 3bet (I know, it couldn't have happened, because who would put money in the pot when they have a great hand?), you can check/fold the turn or check/call if you have odds at that point for your five outs. But calling this flop bet is a no-no. |

Re: KK hand I knew I was beat the flop, fold?
In my experience 90%+ of the time
an the first to act bets the flop after playing passively preflop and bets ON FOUR PEOPLE and two early aggressors he has two pair or better, yes there are an occasional idiot who bets with nothing but most of the time they DO have something, they may play bad but many of them are not mentally retarded |
