KK sees A on turn, one opponent, check through river?
Straight forward hand up until the scary turn card and river decision.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG calls, MP3 calls, Button calls, SB calls. Flop: (10 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, MP3 calls, Button folds, SB calls. Turn: (6.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero bets, MP3 folds, SB calls. River: (8.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: 8.50 BB I've been checking alot of these types of hands thru. Am I missing value bets? My thinking is that many weak hands and busted draws will fold anyway, and I avoid the guy that lets the PF raiser keep betting until the river where he check-raises. |

yes you're missing value bets. Bet it. They call with anything.

Re: KK sees A on turn, one opponent, check through river?
Betting is probably be better, but I don't think you lose much by checking. You're not getting called w/ a worse hand more than 2/3 or at MOST 3/4 of the time ... how often would your opponent have to check raise for the play to drop to even EV?
