Someone tell me how they would play this hand
3 men left at the table. I am lowest in chips. Blinds are going up in 2 min. I have about 2/3 of the next guys money, but only 1 and 2 place win cash. I get a KK preflop. I call all in. The player next in chips to me calls. He has Ad10d. He wins with an A on the river. Should I have seen the flop before going all in?

Re: Someone tell me how they would play this hand
3 left, high-card plays, you get high pocket pair, if you call the all-in bet it would either mean that you double up or bust out... my opinion, that would be a correct move, but this is the part I don't get... did you call the all-in bet or make the all-in bet? Sounds like you made it, and in that case the seeing the flop would have been a good move first and then punish him with your all-in if you still had top pair.
Just my opinion. Hope this helps. Jane |

Re: Someone tell me how they would play this hand
You're 2:1 to win here, I don't think i'd have had a problem in pushing that. There's no shame in going out with AA or KK all-in pre-flop.

Re: Someone tell me how they would play this hand
All-in sounds like a decent move. It's possible that going all-in after the flop would have gotten your opponent to laydown. But if he thought the A was good, he would have called and you would have had the same outcome.

Re: Someone tell me how they would play this hand
If the A came on the river (as you said) then seeing the flop before pushing all-in would just have encouraged you to do it. I think you were going to lose all your chips here whatever you did.
