AJo on the button; limp re-raised.
PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (8 handed)
Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 3-bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls. Uh. I don't like the looks of that. Flop: (18.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players) BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 3-bets, MP2 folds, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls. I may have the best hand here, so I'll raise to see where I am. Hmm. Maybe I don't have the best hand here. Turn: (15.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 raises, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls. He check-raises me here? What the hell. River: (21.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds. I'll call, completely expecting to be shown AA or AQ or something. Final Pot: 23.75 BB What do you put him on? I was constantly lost the whole time throughout this hand, and, in fact, I'm still lost. I think this is the first hand where I had no idea where the hell I was. |

Re: AJo on the button; limp re-raised.
I can't speak for the nano limits on Pokerstars, but at the Party micro levels, I have seen people limp reraise with KJo and worse. It doesn't always mean AA, KK, or AK, at least in my experience (25,000+ hands at .50/1 and 1/2). Maybe MP1 is an idiot. Maybe MP1 is a maniac. Maybe MP1 is bored. Maybe MP1 is low on chips and close to busting out. You get the point.
All of that being said, I would probably slow down on the turn. Once you are limp reraised preflop and 3-bet on the flop, lots of hands in the likely range of hands dominate your AJ: AA, KK, AK, and AQ. I would check/call the turn and check/call the river unimproved. |

Re: AJo on the button; limp re-raised.
First off, you're in a .02/.04 game, so putting someone on a hand is nearly impossible. But for the sake of discussion, let's put him on a hand:
AXo, probably AQ, AJ, or AT. |

[/ QUOTE ] This isn't my experience. Most players, I find, are predictable, especially when it comes to postflop play. There are oddballs like this who do weird stuff, but it's usually easy to read hands. For me, at least. |
