Default Another hand

Empire Poker $50 buyin full ring (.5/1)

Hero is dealt KK in MP

2 limpers to me, I raise to 5, guy to act right after me calls, everyone folds

Flop (14.50) Jc 8h 3d

Hero checks, Villain bets $15, Hero raises to 41

I decided that since this flop was pretty raggedy, opponent may take a stab if I show weakness to him, giving me an extra bet. Also, I noticed that I never used the checkraise so I am trying to incorporate it to get respect for my checks from observant players. Is this a bad spot?

EDIT: I started the hand with a little less than 50, I just forgot and had it raise to 50 instead of raise allin. He only had 26 behind after his bet, so I decided that i might as well just put him all in.

I think you overdid it here, a reasonably intelligent player will fold AJ here and only call with 2 pair or a set.

I don't like checkraising overpairs, especially on a flop like this. From his perspective it probably looks like a poorly played set of 8s or 3s. You're also in a lot of trouble if he checks behind and the turn brings an ace. Whether he has it or not it's going to make you sweat.

I'd bet the pot here, if he holds AJ or something he'll probably reraisae you. If he holds trash you aren't getting anything from him anyway unless he improves and then you lose your stack.
