First hand of tournament I am crippled...
99 in MP, I limp.
Another person doubles the blinds to 40, I call - 4 to the flop. Flop is 234 with 34 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I make it 120 to go, he raises to 240. Folded to me and I make it 400 to go, he calls. Turn is an Ace, I bet 200 he calls. River another Ace, I bet 200 he calls. He has JJ. I thought he would have a lower PP as I expected a higher raise from TT-AA. Bad play? Fold the flop? |

Re: First hand of tournament I am crippled...
Busted out 2 hands later with 88 vs 89o, when he caught the 9. He called a 600 raise with that.

Re: First hand of tournament I am crippled...
first hand i would have limped to the raise and mucked when the flop missed...
end of the tourney, easy all-in - but first hand.....why go broke....everyone is much less selective in their hand play... RB |

Re: First hand of tournament I am crippled...
I fold to the miniraise. He could have an overpair, an overcard and a flush draw (most likely with a wheel draw), a made straight, etc. There are too many ways to loose and even though I have pot odds to call, I would only reraise allin here or fold to keep myself from getting pot committed.
