Your play was fine. Don't kick yourself over it. BB, even being solid, could easily have something like Q9s here and think his 2 pair might be good.

Checking behind is OK I suppose too. But I think it's close in the long run either way. You'll be called on the end by a losing hand more times than you're behind I think.

He can't checkraise the flop when he's last to act, and it's checked to him.
